I’m trying to understand the concept behind the following message we are seeing in Work Instruction Works:

“The Assignment Mode was automatically toggled off since the selected operation or system occurrence belongs to a line balancer.”

I’m new to the Line Balancer functionality, so I’d like to clarify the basic concept first:

1. What exactly is a “Line Balancer” in DELMIA, and where/how is it configured?
2. What does it technically mean when an Operation or System Occurrence “belongs to a line balancer”?
3. What causes an Operation/System Occurrence to become part of a Line Balancer?
4. Why does this automatically turn Assignment Mode OFF in Work Instruction Works?
5. If the customer wants to manually change the station assignment of an operation later, how should this be handled when the operation belongs to a Line Balancer?

We are trying to understand the intended workflow and whether this behavior could affect the customer’s future process.
