Is it possible to change the type of an existing Manufactured Item after it has been created?

For example, can a Manufactured Item be converted from one type to another (e.g., Manufacturing Assembly to Manufactured Part) without creating a new object?

If not, what is the recommended approach for handling this scenario in DELMIA Manufacturing Item Management?

We are using 3DEXPERIENCE 2024x.
