[EKL] Tpoint Loss Issue after Save/Reopen - How to change Track Icon Path via EKL?

I am currently working on an automation script in the Assembly Simulation context using EKL to automatically generate Tracks under an Operation.

I have encountered a critical issue where Tpoints disappear after saving and reopening the session, even though the Track itself remains. After some troubleshooting, I found the root cause and would like to ask the community for advice or a workaround.

Root Cause Analysis

  • Standard UI Behavior: When a Track is created manually using standard DELMIA features, its Icon Path in Properties is set to I_Track.
  • EKL Behavior: When the Track is generated via EKL, its Icon Path is automatically set to I_Activity.
  • Verification: If I manually change the Icon Path of the EKL-generated Track from I_Activity to I_Track via the UI and then save, the Tpoints are successfully preserved upon reopening.

It seems that the I_Activity icon path somehow prevents the Tpoint data from being saved properly or causes it to be dropped during the reload process.

My Questions

  1. Is there an EKL API or Method to explicitly set or change the Icon Path to I_Track? (I have searched the EKL dictionary but couldn't find a property related to the icon path for this object type).
  2. If changing the Icon Path is not supported in EKL, is there any workaround to ensure that Tpoints are saved correctly even when the Icon Path remains I_Activity?

Any insights, sample code snippets, or workarounds (even involving hybrid approaches like launching a VB macro from EKL) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
