Hello, I have a question regarding how to retain Production-Environment grid profiles when updating a Grid item.
The current issue is as follows:
If the customer requests that we update a grid view, we will create a new revision of the grid display operation on the Development Server; Update this revision, and push it to the Production environment.
This new revision however, would not have any of the customer's System Profiles or Grid Profiles.
The reasoning for this is obvious enough. The customer's Proflies are not on the development server, so when we make a new revision on the development server, this copy does not include customer settings.
If we were to then create the updated grid in the new Operation revision. And then push that to the customer environment, all of their Grid Profiles would dissapear.
This is naturally considered a bad idea. So I was wondering as to what the best practice is in regards to retaining customer Grid Profiles and System Profiles.
Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
