We do a lot of branching an merging during our engineering & development phases. Every 3 months all branches are merged into a single branch, we produce a new baseline, and a new head is set in our model from this final branch. In MagicDraw server, we used 'set as latest' to update a new version of trunk to the final version of this merge branch.
When we transitioned to Cameo TWC 2021, we found we could no longer use 'set as latest', but the "Commit to Branch" feature provided the needed functionality. Again, this allowed us to take the contents of the final version of the merge branch and set that as the new version of trunk, setting a new starting point for our next phase of development, where we would start branching from again.
We just upgraded to 2022x a few weeks ago, only to find out that "Commit to Branch" no longer seems to be available. This has left us in quite a scramble as we finished our latest merge and are ready to set the results as a new version of trunk. After much searching, the best we've been able to find is to do a local save from our merge branch and then update a new version of trunk from that locally saved project. After a bit of testing, it seems to generally work, but is a less convenient, multi-step process.
Are we missing something - has Commit to Branch been moved, and we're just missing it? Has it been replaced? I also looked into "Clone", but that only seems to work at the project level, not at the branch level.
If it was removed, are there plans to bring it back? We could not find anything in the documentation that indicated that this feature would be lost when we upgraded to 2022x, although maybe we missed it?
Any help would be appreciated.
(Let me know if there is a better thread for me to post this question)
