Hello,
I created in Catia Magic Cyber System a BDD and created an Instance.
It seems that Catia Magic Cyber Systems does not have a built-in "Synchronize Diagram" feature that would automatically align the instance view with the original BDD.
I plan to use Catia Magic Cyber System Engineer for creating and managing digital twins. Each twin represents a specific physical location. Based on a 150% architecture, I want to create instances. Each instance should represent its own twin.
My project will have at the end 300-400 instances generated out of a 150% master BDD.
Advantages of instances in our use case:
- More efficient management:
- Instances share the same base definition (150% architecture)
- Changes to the base architecture automatically affect all instances
- Lower maintenance effort
- Better scalability:
- New locations can be quickly created as new instances
- The basic structure doesn't need to be redefined each time
- Well suited for a large number of similar locations
- Consistency:
- All locations are based on the same basic architecture
- Standardized properties and interfaces
- Easier quality assurance
- Flexibility:
- Each instance can be configured individually
- Location-specific adaptations are possible
- The basic structure remains intact
Implementation steps:
- Create the 150% architecture as a base model -> done
- Define the common properties of all locations -> done
- Create instances for each location -> Current Step
- Configure the location-specific parameters in the instances -> open
What is a good way to get an harmonized model view between Master and Instances?
Thank you a lot,
Norbert.
