How could I view a MagicDraw sub component model in context as part of a system of systems model if the two models are in separate files

I thought it was possible to import a "read only" copy of one .mdzip file into another as an external reference. When I hit "import" though, the other .mdzip file just opened up in a separate window of MagicDraw.
