Hi all -
The ScienceCloud Protocol Exchange is a new site for Pipeline Pilot users to share protocol services built with Pipeline Pilot. The Exchange will help foster the rapid adoption of innovative scientific methods and approaches that are developed by the wider community. Exchange services include those that run in Pipeline Pilot, but also include services that can be deployed in other platform-based applications such as Discovery Studio, Materials Studio, Pipette Analysis, Web Port, and Notebook.
Once a service is posted, a protocol can be rated, reviewed, and commented on by the community. You can share your idea for a new feature, suggest a better way of doing something, or ask the author a question. This interchange between authors and users will quickly raise the quality and diversity of the services that are offered and will bring new ideas, approaches, and solutions to the user community as a whole.
Now, a critical part to the success of the Exchange is … YOU!! We have harvested the community forum for the best protocols posted there and have added them to the Exchange to provide an initial set of useful, example protocols. We plan to introduce the Exchange by the end of the summer, but are asking you (a select group!) to brush up your best recent work and contribute additional protocols, before we go live. We would love for you to participate, so please send me an email at ton.vandaelen@3ds.com by August 15 and I will give you access. Thanks for your help, don’t procrastinate!
