Is it possible to make a tooltip persistent and draggable, so that a user could show two or more simultaneously?

I'm using tooltips to allow users to hover over a given individual modified base in a siRNA molecule to show the structure, which is very useful. In fact, I was given a tip in this very forum on how to do this! There may be multiple unusual modified bases, and users then want to compare two or more structures. Right now, they have to move the cursor back and forth to look at one structure tooltip at a time. That's not very useful. Also persistent & draggable tooltips would allow users to grab screenshots with multiple structure tooltips, and that would really be nice.
