Purpose: This component uses Solid Converter to convert a PDF document to a Word document. Solid Converter is a third-party application and has to be purchased separately for every user who wants to use this component. A quick installation guide can be found below. This component runs the conversion and saves the generated report on the client machine. You can use the Copy to Server component to copy the report to the server if necessary. This component has been tested with Solid Converter V3.1. This component consists of a PDF Report Writer that generates a temporary report in PDF format. This report is then copied to the client with the Copy To Client component, where its filename is then passed into the CommandLine parameter of a Run Program (on Client).

Requirements: PP Server 6.1.1, Solid Converter executable (www.solidpdf.com), PP 6.1.1 Reporting collection

O/S: PP Server Windows, PP Professional Client (Windows).

Installation:

1. Download Solid Converter (http://www.solidpdf.com) and purchase a license.

2. Start Solid Converter and you will be prompted for the license information.

3. Load the "MS Word Report Writer" component.

4. Set the advanced "Path to Solid Converter Executable" parameter's value to its canonical filename (path+filename).
