Hello,
The ultimate aim is to split a 96-well gel image (attached) into 96 seperate records each containing the only gel lane of interest (Done). Hope to then analyse that lane to see if a DNA product is present. Is this a realistic project? I've only the basic imaging collection and currently running v7.5
Thanks for any ideas,
Tris
Edit since first posting (topic was originally about merging image records):
The problem I had merging was most likely something to do with root/node naming (I had a record generated which then had an empty image created which I was trying to merge with a record with an image read directly from file - basically the data hierarchy naking i different).
Well anyway, have changed tack somewhat and have successfully generated my 96 lanes from the single gel image (protocol attachedas is gel image). Now I just need some ideas as to how to report whether a band (or even better number of bands) is present. Any suggesstions welcome.
