In the Bulleted List reporting component, what's the difference between the Bullet Type format ('Bulleted List' style) and the Bullet Options format ('Bullet' style)?

The latter seems to take precedence on the first but both formats apply on the bullet and text indistinctly.

So is it possible to modify the appeareance of the bullet uniquely without touching the text?
