Hi All,
As we come to the end of the year, I thought I would have some fun with Materials Studio:
I created this using a set of different MaterialsScripts and I would usually post these but, to be honest, I haven't had time to clean them up, add comments etc.
However, all the simulations were performed using the molecular dynamics task in Mesocite. I created a custom forcefield to control the interactions between the snowball and the walls, and also between the snowman and the roof. I then used restraints to keep the walls and roof beads in place (and some constraints when needed).
The most useful new feature from Materials Studio 7.0 was the constant force command which I used to mimic "gravity". And of course I used the new Copy Script tool to set up my Mesocite calculations :-)
Hope you have all had a great 2013 and looking forward to hearing more Materials Studio feedback in 2014!
Seasons Greetings,
Stephen
