I realize that Dassault does not support the operation of Turbomole on windows subsystem for linus (wsl). However, it would seem that there is a good possibility that it might work. I originally downloaded the windows version of Turbomole on my computer, installed the license, and it works fine through the TmoleX gui. I decided to install the Linux version of Turbomole and see if it would run in the wsl bash shell. As instructed, I saved the license file in the Linux version's TURBOMOLE/License subdirectory. However, when I called a turbomole function like dscf, I get the return message that my license is invalid. If I delete the license file and then run dscf I get the message that my licenses was not found and it then switches me to the Demo mode. While in the demo mode I am able to run all of the Turbomole functions used in the first two exercises of the Turbomole Tutorial. It seems that wsl can run the Linux version of turbomole, at least for these simple examples, but why is my license invalid? The same license was used successfully for the Windows version. What are the limitations of the Demo mode? Is it time limited?
