Materials Studio mismatch between gateway cpucorestital and number of cores in e.g. CASTEP

Dear MS users,

I have the following problem with Materials Studio 7.0: after installation on a two 6-core Xeon X5650 CPU PC with hyperthreading under OS Windows 7 Professional the remote gateway recognizes cpucorestotal =24 (12 physcial and 12 virtual cores, corespercpu = auto), which seems to be normal in this case.

But in a CASTEP calculation for instance  the "Job Control" tab only allows to run a job in parallel on 2 cores. How can I increase this number to the actual number of cores? Might this be a licensing problem?

Any help is welcome.

Best regards

Klaus
