Hi all,
yesterday at our Japan User Group Meeting we announced the all new Materials Studio Collection for Pipeline Pilot. We are really excited about the upcoming release which presents a milestone for materials modeling and materials science in general. The possibility to quickly put together a series of steps into a protocol to automate the calculation of properties of your choice is an immediate productivity gain. Couple that with deploying the calculation of many systems to distributed compute resources automatically (i.e. using coarse grained parallelisation), reporting to html and visualization with the Java viewer Jmol, and you have an environment that adds tremendous benefits to Materials Studio.
We’ll be hosting a couple of webinars about the Materials Studio Collection, on 23 June and 21 July, more information here.
A major software release such as this always represents the combined efforts of many people, so from me, Stephen Todd and George Fitzgerald, thanks to all the people who made this release possible, and in particular thanks to our users and beta testers who gave such great feedback on the developments.
The Collection will be generally available later this month.
Best wishes,
Gerhard Goldbeck-Wood
