As we all know, spin-orbit couplings and spin polarization have a important effect on vertical ionization potential (VIP)and vertical electron affinity (VEA). In our present work, we calculated  vertical ionization potentialS and vertical electron affinities of binary clusters, the reviewers doubted the results of VIP and VEA.Now i donot know how to consider these factor in dmol3, and what the consequences maybe occur with the results of VIP and VEA. (The reviewers comments: I think that the authors do not include spinorbit couplings in the calculations, although for Pb this may be a not very accurate approximation. Please rationalize this decision and discuss what consequences this has for the accuracy of the calculated IP and EA values;Similarly, do the authors include spin polarization? If not, why not? And then again, which consequences has this on the calculated IP and EA values? Discuss in manuscript.)
