Dear MS experts,
I have been trying to run the packing utility of the amorphous cell module but always end up with the following popup window:
Gateway Timeout
A request to the gateway timeout.
Attempting to connect.
Increate the gateway timeout setting
from the server console to reduce the
frequency of this message
Press "Cancel" to abort
the connection attempt...
First, how do I access the server console? Second, after I press "Cancel" to dismiss the popup window I get another popup, this time from the packing job:
Job: [I7IXB] - 1styrene packing
Program: AC
Gateway: My Computer
Status: communication failure
As you can see, I am running the job locally. It also seems that the job failed.
After I press "OK" to dissmiss the popup, I have to deal with yet another popup, which says:
Server Busy
This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the
busy program and correct the problem.
My options to dismiss this popup are to click in the following buttons:
1- 'Switch To'. I have no idea which is that "other program" the popup refers to. If I click in 'Switch To' all I get is the start menu of my Windows 7, big help!
2- 'Retry'. No good, the popup doesn't go.
3- 'Cancel' No good, this button is not event activated, so it's not an option
Conclusion: There's no way to dismiss this popup, I end up with the session blocked. My only option is to kill MS from the Windows Task Manager. A seven hour job down the drain...
The annoyance doesn't end up here. It turns out I am greeted with the same popup if I restart Materials Studio. It doesn't help if I stop or restart the Materials Studio Gateway service. The only "solution" I've found is to log out from windows.
I'm stuck. Any help is greatly welcomed
