Hi all!
I am calculating with the "Atom volumes and surfaces" tool in MS the surface area and free volume of a periodic solid but I don't understand how these are calculated.
I have read the "Atom volumes and surfaces algorithms" from the help and I understand the concept of how it is calculated with the probe "rolled" over the surface for the ASA for example, but I don't understand how the "values" are calculated. It is like there are some mathematics missing to my comprehension!
Could anyone help me?
Thanks!
