Have a manuscript under review, and a reviewer asked the following question:

"For the molecular dynamic simulations, authors specifically selected 300 K temperature. Authors should clearly state and justify their selection for the conditions of their simulation."

Now I realize the Target Temperature "units" is not listed in the DS 21. Dynamics Protocols, but I assumed it was Kelvin, is that correct? As for using a Target Temperature of 300, it was the default value that intergrates with the different dynamics simulations (Equilibrium, Heating or Cooling, Production), and that is why I used it. The dynamics part of the paper was just used to confirm the stability of intereactions in several protein complexes that had been minimized.

An authoratative response to the reviewer's question would be greatly appreciated!
