Hi,
I recently met some troubles with the Active X control plug in for DS visualizer.
Indeed, although I installed the Active X control plug in, I still have the message 'You need to install the Discovery Studio Visualizer Plug-in.' when I ran the example protocol 'DS Visualizer Display Styles' in Pipeline Pilot even if I reboot the OS.
When I look at the 'Active X control Samples' webpages, a red cross appears instead of the plug in. I noticed that when I did some successive refreshes with F5, the plugin appears sometimes (displaying trypsin for example). Uninstalling/reinstalling DS Active X control doesn't change anything.
Moreover, and despite of this, I noticed some problem with the Hardware Acceleration option with DS Visualizer 2.5.5. DS visualizer crashes when we launch a molecule (small molecule, protein, etc...) but runs perfectly when we desactivate the Hardware Acceleration.
This problem lead to an other future question: How can I easily desactivate the hardware acceleration when I use the DS Visualizer component in Pipeline Pilot knowing that the Active X control parameters are not exposed? I saw in the example protocol 'DS Visualizer Display Styles' that radio button are used to launch control via Javascript code. But in our case, the plug in will crash before we can set the hardware acceleration parameter.
I don't know if all these problems are connected between them?
I know that part of my questions are related to Pipeline Pilot but as they focus on DS Visualizer I didn't really know where I should post this discussion?
Thanks a lot for your help
Regards,
