Hello everybody, sorry for the newbie's question, but I do need to confirm something. On the free DSV3.0 page you can read the following:
Discovery Studio Visualizer 3.0
If you do not need access to the expert-level analysis tools in Discovery Studio, but do need a commercial-grade graphics visualization tool for viewing, sharing, and analyzing protein and modeling data, you can download the free DS Visualizer program, which includes ActiveX Control for interactive 3D visualization.
What are these "expert-level analysis tools"? I would like to know if i can use DS3.0 for the same functions I used to have access to in DS2.5, such like displaying surfaces and saving views as image files. My actual DS3.0 doesn't save my views as png files, and at start it asks about licenses and passwords I don't know. Is this license a free requirement for full access to the software functions? Is saving views as images a paid service in this version?
Thanks in advance!
