I have a computational server with DS2016 running RHEL7 that I need to connect a client to. using change server dialoge on the client (on other machine and regardless of it OS (linux/win)) I typed the IP/host name of my linux server and got the following message:
Resolve host name Avicenna OK 25.125.216.163
Ping location 25.125.216.163 OK Packets: Sent = 1, Received = 1, Lost = 0 (0% loss)
Server version (https) FAIL Error getting server version
which means that the client can resolve and ping the host but not find DS server
I have another server running on windows 7, any client, however, can connect to it regardless of the OS of the client machine. I tried disabling the firewall on RHEL7 but no luck.
any thoughts ??
