Hello everyone,
I would like to integrate a user defined material in Abaqus. After my research, I came to the conclusion that I need Visual Studio Community Version 2017 or 2019 for this. However, a free download of these versions is no longer possible. I am therefore wondering whether there are other options for compiling the user-defined material. I have also downloaded the Intel oneAPI Base Toolkit and Intel HPC. With Visual Studio version 2022, my job keeps crashing after integrating my UMAT. I suspect that Abaqus is not compatible with Visual Studio version 2022. I look forward to your feedback and ideas on how I can fix the problem.
