#Take Climate Action (Lightweight E-Waste Processing System)

Participant's team names: Darius Diebold, Eduardo Fernandez Torneiro, Valeria Valentina Moreno Mujica (Team 4)

Pitch of the project: Our project aims to develop an efficient e-waste collection system that will help us to facilitate recycling to reduce CO2 emissions. As this would reduce costs and emissions from manufacturing new equipment and reduce emissions as e-waste is not burned.

Our system is a vending machine placed on the street where users can put their lightweight e-waste in exchange for a small reward. This waste is then sorted in the machine and, through questions previously asked to the user via a touch-display or an app, classified and thus perfectly prepared for recycling and refurbishing.

Our device should be as user-friendly as possible and therefore also be able to communicate with a central server and be contactable via an app.

In addition, it is possible to attach appealing advertising to the large sides.

This should lead to many small devices being handed in to make recycling easier than possible for the following companies. This would reduce CO2 and additionally help to solve our e-waste problem.
