Note that my machine had an older version of Solidworks installed several years ago. I have since uninstalled it and removed all files that I've come across.
I just downloaded the setup file for the student version of Solidworks 2025. Whenever I attempt to unzip, it gives me an error (see attached screenshot), which says it cannot create "c:\\swdist".
Solutions attempted:
- Deleted installation file SolidWorksSetup.exe and re-downloaded. Result: No change.
- Selected "Browse" and directed it to simply unzip into the C drive (C:\\). Result: This led to a different error, which stated that it could not create "C:\\sldim".
