Solidworks crashing when trying to open

I teach a Solidworks class with a local maker space and was updating my currently loaded license, which was expiring in about two weeks for an updated license which would give me 365 days access to SW.  After loading the new license, my installation still thought that I only had two weeks of access left on my license.  I tried to reload and activate license a couple of times to no avail.  Finally, I uninstalled Solidworks and deleted all Solidworks folders from my Program Files folder and reloaded one last time.  This time I still get the message of two weeks (less now) of access left, but SW won't even open now and creates an error report.  I'm guessing it has something to do with the registry, but I hesitate messing around in there.  At this point, I have access to another computer for my class, so I just want to clear out SW from my laptop.  What would be best (i.e. safest) way to do this?

Matt
