Hello there
I would like to know what is the efficient strategy to constrain slots to a hole in 3DX. Using R2024x Axademia
For example:
- Plate A with two slots to an object with respective holes.
- Screws/ Washers constrained to a slot
In both cases I need to be able to adjust the position of the axis respective to the slot. Like centered, meassured, or simply free in the slot space. (like in SW)
This issue already bit me when having to configure a rotational plate on a shaft to a fixed plate on the shaft to adjust the relative angle. I had to do a workaround by making a hinge constraint and then searching step by step slowly for the correct min/max limit angles.
Other workaround which worked limited so far is creating a Geometric Set in the part and make a sketch with a line along the slot and then create a point at the specific position I want to constrain the axis of the hole/shaft later.
Opening, editing, potentially doing a minor revision for every part with a slot also those I get as .stp takes a lot of time and is not very efficient though.
Thank you in advance
