Hello,
Our Formula SAE team recently secured a SOLIDWORKS sponsorship, which includes access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Before I set up our team’s 3DEXPERIENCE hub, I wanted to clarify exactly what is included with our sponsorship.
From the information provided to us, our sponsorship appears to include 3DEXPERIENCE Platform access under the SOLIDWORKS sponsorship program, but I am not completely clear on which applications, roles, and services are included. This is the name that appears at the 3D experience hub (3DEXPERIENCE platform DS Challenges - Sponsorship - USE2).
In particular, I would appreciate clarification on the following:
- What specific 3DEXPERIENCE roles and applications are included with our sponsorship?
- Do we have access to browser-based CAD tools such as xDesign / 3D Creator, or similar cloud-based design applications?
- Is our access primarily intended for collaboration, file management, and data sharing, or does it also include CAD/CAE applications?
- Are there any limitations on the number of team members who can be added to the platform?
Are there specific roles or licenses that our Captain should assign when setting up the team's hub?
- Is there a recommended setup or structure for Formula SAE teams using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform?
I would like to understand these details before onboarding the rest of the team so that I can properly explain what tools are available and how we should use the platform throughout our vehicle development process.
Thank you for your assistance
Edu
