Hello everyone,
I'm encountering some issues with a PIC (Particle-in-Cell) simulation using CST Studio Suite. Specifically, I'm simulating dark current emission inside a C-band standing wave linac. Here are the specific problems I'm facing:
1. Number of Emitted Particles:I'm unable to obtain a reasonable number of emitted particles, In fact I get a huge current on the monitor on solid.
2. Exporting Data to ASCII: When exporting particle data in ASCII format, I get anomalous results. Specifically, the exported file shows a number of macroparticles as zero, even though the particles are present and visible in the simulation.
**Simulation Details:**
- Type of Simulation: PIC simulation for dark current in a C-band standing wave linac.
- Software: CST Studio Suite 2022
- Particle Source Settings: Field emission
- Boundary Conditions: Copper simulated in normal (Describe the boundary conditions set, if relevant).
- I have verified the particle source settings and they seem correct.
- I have checked the boundary conditions to ensure they are appropriate.
- I reduced the number of particles and checked the export parameters, but the issue persists.
Has anyone encountered similar issues or have any suggestions on how to resolve these problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your support!
