Hello all,
I am trying to install Solidworks 2024 Student edition with the serial number provided by my university. I had Solidworks 2023 the previous year with that year's license and it worked fine. This past summer something happened (not sure what) and I had to go into the registry to uninstall and reinstall some C++ redistributables. I managed to get 2023 to work, however since I needed 2024, i uninstalled 2023 and am currently trying to install 2024. When i try to do this though, as soon as the installation process starts, the installation manager crashes with no error message or anything. All of the files are downloaded already, its only when the installation process starts that it does this. Any help would be appreciated.
