I’m running a nonlinear implicit dynamic analysis on a masonry structure subjected to an earthquake, using the Concrete Damaged Plasticity (CDP) model with damage parameters. With one earthquake record, the analysis runs without issues. However, when I change the earthquake (thus selecting different amplitude values), the analysis stops with the error: “Too many attempts made for this increment size.”
I’ve already increased the initial increment size (IA) to 20, but the error persists.
What can I do to resolve this?
