Help: Bought 3D experience instead of CATIA V5 for training

Hi Guys, I am starting a new job as a Tool Engineer in an Aerospace company. I did my Bachelors in Automotive Engineering and during that I did an internship as a Mechanical Design Intern at a Semiconductor company. The tool I used was Solidworks. Before my Internship, I bought EAA membership for getting Solidworks to train myself. It went well. Now, my new job requires me to work in CATIA V5, I tried getting the software like before but ended up buying 3D experience. The tech support informed me that CATIA V5 for individual use is not available and I have to make do with 3D experience. I am worried. Should I get trained in 3D experience and the skills are transferable to V5. I am anxious now. What do you think I should do?

I could also use your help with what the Tool Engineer role entails. I bought a book called Shigley's Mechanical Design and have been working on it. I could use your help.
