I have been trying to install Solidworks all day, and this is all I get. The IM fails, manually downloading files fails, I've tried disabling the firewall and antivirus, deleting installation files, unzipping the install files to different folders, restarted several times....nothing works. There seems to be no help on the internet for this beyond trying a few steps with the firewall, which I've done (maybe, since I'm not a network administrator nor should I have to be). It also looks like posting this question here doesn't help, but I am at my wit's end. I need this for class; if it doesn't work, I have to drop. Can anyone help?
