Fluid Cavity simulation

Hello,

I am simulating a thin film structure that inflates with helium gas using the fluid cavity method in Abaqus. The element type assigned to the film is membrane. I’ve defined the ambient pressure as 101325 Pa and applied the same pressure (101325 Pa) to the fluid cavity using a smooth amplitude curve.

Material properties such as elastic, plastic behavior, damage initiation and evolution, as well as density , fail strain and failed stress are all defined. My goal is to observe the behavior of the envelope under equilibrium pressure conditions( stress and deformation). However, despite applying equal internal and external pressures, the structure still bursts during the simulation.

The solver is dynamic- explicit and the Tim period considered 0.1 second. I’m wondering if I might be missing something in the boundary conditions or setup of the fluid cavity interaction. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
