I have a problem with File Names in 3DExperience platform.
To explain with an example:
When we used to save a file with Catia, we go with Save As, choose directory, and file is saved. Lets say I Save my part with a name SAFB0018.
Since I need to have different configurations saved with different part numbers, I need to create SAFB0019, 20, 21 etc. with very small differences.
I decide to upload SAFB0018 in 3dExp and then I would go with "duplicates".
During the creation of the duplicate i can change the Part numbers visible in PLM, but not the file name.
To show this, here is the picture of the Part number SAFB0022, created as a duplicate from SAFB0018. In catia I can read SAFB0022, but if I try to Save this file on my dextop, the file name is still Safb0018.
This is causing me a lot of problems with manufacturing, since when they have to produce a part If they search for SAFB0022 they will find also SAFB0018 (even if it's not in the information list, the file name is detected). On the other hand if they look for SAFB0018 they will find also every other duplicate. This lead to a wrong production a lot of times, but I did not find the way to delete the File name from a duplicate.
How can I do it? Is it possible to add the "file name" in the information list in order to be able to replace it?
If I don't find a way to delete the file name in a duplicate, I would need to download the Product/Part and upload it again, creating again constraints and drawings etc., a way longer process.
