I have followed the instructions to the letter, but some CATIA functions simply do not work how the tutorial says they do.

For the Create Assembly lesson, it wants you to scale down a wheel through the Scale command in the Features tab. THERE IS NO SCALE COMMAND IN THE FEATURES TAB. I found a Scale command in the Transform tab, but it does not function the same way as the lesson suggests, namely, I have to select a reference and it will only scale the object in one of the X, Y, or Z dimensions, not all three at once. It also creates a scaled version while leaving the un-scaled item there, which I cannot hide without my scaled-down tire vanishing as well.

Now, in the Design Parts in Context of External CAD Data lesson, I need to create a piston from a surface offset. It's all well and good until the instructions say to extrude one of the ends of the offset surface. I cannot perform that task, the software selects both ends and gives an error when I try to extrude. I cannot select just one end, and I cannot find a command to separate the two ends into separate items I can work with.
