Hello. I'm simulating a microstrip patch antenna and simulating it using the Time Solver. It haven't been able to complete the simulation and give the above error. I sent my file to my classmates to try and run it on their laptop and they were able to finish the simulation. What should I do?
UPDATE: Problem solved!
To anyone with the same problem and stumbled with this post.
- DISCLAIMER:
- This was a problem faced by my friend and I was trying to help them, so I did'nt know how they initially set up their project.
- We're both using the Student Version of CST Studios.
- Their laptop is a high spec one with 16 GB RAM, so laptop was not the issue.
- When they asked me to help I thought it was because their model exceeded the mesh limit of 100000. So, I told them to reduce the mesh size and turn off the adaptive mesh refinement. But nothing changed.
- Turns out their project template frequency setting was set to: minimum frequency of 9 GHz, and maximum frequency of 9.2 GHz, when actually they had to monitor at the frequency of 7 GHz. They have been putting field monitors at 5 GHz and 9 GHz when they should have put them at 7 GHz as well.
- So I just created another project template with the correct frequency setting: minimum frequency of 6.8 GHz, and maximum frequency of 7.2 GHz, and monitor at 7 GHz and then, applied the new template to the project. Changed the field monitors to operate at 7 GHz. Finally, the simulation completed just fine.
