Dead references in 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA

Hi all, I just can't seem to get this to work.

In xDesign, when making an assembly using the top-down approach, you can enable "External references" to use a feature/surface/etc. in "part 1" to make a feature in "part 2".

In the rich app, however, I can't find this option. Thus, it results in creating references which aren't linked to the other part.

In this example, I selected the edge of the bottom surface of the hole in the blue part to create the yellow pin.

However, when editing the location and size of the hole, the pin doesn't change with it. (Because, obviously, the reference isn't updated.

Hole in blue base is now bigger and further away from the edge. However, the yellow pin doesn't change.

How do I enable the external references in CATIA Part/Assembly design?
