Hi,
I am trying to model a hybrid steel timber beam using a shell to model the CLT slab and a wire to represent the steel beam. I have both the models working separately but when I try combine them using a general surface surface contact as shown below. I get the deflection but with no interaction between the wire and the slab when adding restraints to the slab. But when there are no supports on the slab the model doesn't run and the error is 'too many attempts made for this increment'.
Any help would be much appreciated.
