Hi everyone,

I am part of a UAV Society in our university, and our team was granted access to a 3DEXPERIENCE platform through a Dassault Systèmes sponsorship.

We already use SOLIDWORKS Desktop 2024 provided by the University of Leeds, and I am trying to connect this existing installation to our 3DEXPERIENCE platform rather than install a separate SOLIDWORKS version.

I have installed the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher and SOLIDWORKS Add-in, and the Task Pane recognises my account, but SOLIDWORKS stays stuck on “Connecting to 3DEXPERIENCE...”.

My current roles are only 3DSwymer and Collaborative Industry Innovator. I do not see Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS, Design with SOLIDWORKS, or MySession.

Has anyone successfully connected an existing university-provided SOLIDWORKS installation to a sponsored 3DEXPERIENCE platform? If so, is an additional role or entitlement required?

I would really appreciate any help and guidance in this matter. Thank you!
