Hello,
I am a college student trying to install SOLIDWORKS 2026 on my Windows laptop. I previously had an older version of SOLIDWORKS, but it no longer appears in Windows Installed Apps or Programs and Features.

When I attempt to install SOLIDWORKS 2026, the installation fails with the following message:

“Internal error: The Windows Installer for this product component did not run as expected: Register_SWCEFComWrapper.2CE8C664_78E2_46CC_9FC4_25329D8A1864.”

I have already restarted my computer after receiving a pending Windows reboot warning, but the installation error still occurs. I would appreciate help determining what needs to be removed or repaired so I can install SOLIDWORKS 2026.
