Can't re-grant my roles after a long absence — "Unable to perform action. Please contact system administrator."

Hi all — hoping someone has seen this one.

I hadn't logged into my student platform for several months. When I came back, almost all of my roles were gone from the Compass. I can now only see 3DSwymer and Platform Manager.

My licenses have not expired — they're all valid through 22 September 2026. In Members Control Center → Invite & Grant Roles, I can see all five roles, and four of them show as 0/1 used, i.e. available and unassigned:

  • 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer for Students
  • Collaborative 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer Student
  • Collaborative Industry Innovator (ENOVIA)
  • Electromagnetics Engineer for Students (SIMULIA)

I'm the Administrator and the only member on the platform, so I should be able to grant them to myself. But when I open my member card → Roles → View all and tick the checkbox on any of those four, I get:

"Unable to perform action. Please contact system administrator."

…and nothing is saved. Same result for all four roles. On Collaborative 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer Student the Assign License and Restrict Usage toggles are greyed out entirely and can't be touched.

Things I've already tried, no change:

  • Enabled 2-Factor Authentication on my account
  • Full logout and login, cleared session
  • Granting from the role tile instead of the member panel
  • Checked license ownership under Platform Management

My questions:

  1. Does the platform automatically release granted roles after a long period of inactivity? Is that what happened here?
  2. If so, why can't I simply re-grant them, given the seats show as free and the licenses are still valid?
  3. Is there something that has to be reactivated on the account or the tenant side first — and is that something a student admin can do, or does it need the program administrator?

Any pointers appreciated — my licenses run out on 22 September, so I'd really like to get some use out of them before then.

Thanks!
