I am trying to model screws as springs with equivalent stiffnesses in abaqus. But i dont seem to get a different slip with or without the springs which should be providing stiffness. Does anyone know why this is? Also does DOF 3 in the springs menu mean the z direction as there is no information about this in the abaqus guide?
