3DExperience to Hololens (1st Gen) workflow

Hello together,

I am currently trying to get a model without animations working on my Hololens (1st generation). My current approach is to export the model as a .stl or .stp file, import the model into Blender/Maya and from there to .fbx.

I've tried a lot already but no matter what the models look like the vectors of the exports from 3DExperience are always facing in all kinds of directions, so they are not suitable for AR use. Even though I was able to correct the vectors I can't get the exports to work.  

I don't really know how to continue from here. That's why I wanted to ask if someone of you already worked with a first generation Hololens and has developed a workflow which I could try.
