I have some CFD simulation results that I exported from Paraview as individual meshes for each time step (250 meshes in total).
I managed to import them to 3DEXPERIENCE, inserted all of them under a main physical product using Assembly Design, and assigned materials to mimic the water appearance. Then I created an actor based on that main physical product in Creative Experience.
Hence, I have an actor from a physical product with 250 subactors as children physical products. I exposed all of them, and I want to toggle their visibility on and off to recreate an animation.
I have been able to create an animation using the Create Actor Animation option, but that approach involves manually modifying its visible property for each mesh at each time step. As you can imagine, I did so for just a few meshes (from 0 to 20) and it took an awful amount of time. Now think about how long would it take to do so for 250 meshes. Furthermore, I want to replicate this for more CFD simulations, so I can create an interactive, case-selected-based experience. Hence, I needed to find another solution.
Then I tried to play with the visibility using scripted behaviors (script on first comment).
I have been able to successfully create the animation, with Play, Pause and Stop capabilities, as seen from the XR Emulation environment when clicking on the Play button of the compass (see attached video).
However, when I publish the experience and test it in the Apple Vision Pro, the animation doesn't work. I toggled on the visibility for all the 250 meshes and publish the experience to see if the rendering of the subactors was the issue, but they were visible, and they even included the appearance I applied to them.
Any suggestions on what I am missing?
