Good afternooneveryone;
I am wondering if Solidworks has the capability to generate XYZCartesian coordinates from a curve with a specified resolution, sayfor example 360 individual data points.
The data for generating the curve, a sketch entity converted froman edge into a 3D sketch must exist as a line must have referencepoints and the point's/line's position relative to some neutralpoint (the origin).
I have attached 3 pictures of a similar part I quickly drew and Iam trying to generate a set of data points that I can use with a 1deg resolution ( would idealy like 360 data points). The edge thatI would like to have it based off of, is the inside edge of the cutface.
View 1: Aligned to cutting plane of 22.5 deg.
View 2: Isometric view
View 3: Right view
Thanks in advance guys and gals for all of your help.
Cheers,
Cody
