UPDATE: VISUALIZE 2018 SP0 USERS AND NEWER, SKIP TO BOTTOM OF THIS FIRST MESSAGE
Hi Visualizers,
Having trouble viewing your awesome Panoramic content from Visualize?? This forum post is for you!
One of the several benefits to SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional is the interactive outputs of Exterior VR and Interior Panoramas. These can be directly uploaded to your company's website to allow potential customers to interactively view your products, be it awesome new headphones, clutch assembly, or even an interior room. They can also be extremely useful in receiving design/engineering buyoff from your managers to accelerate the development process and make more informed design/engineering decisions.
The final content of both these interactive render outputs is an HTML file that links to all the static rendered images and stitches them together into one seamless experience. Through no fault of our own, due to the increasing security measures taken by web browsers, there is an issue with viewing only the Panoramic outputs. Basically, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox in their latest updates, have increased their security measures, which now blocks the awesome Panoramic content from loading.
Follow these short steps below to view our awesome Panoramic content! We are working towards to resolve this issue in an upcoming Service Pack, even though the issue is due to the web browsers, and not on the Visualize product.
For Chrome, follow these steps below.
- Set up and complete the Panoramic output (watch the tutorial here if this Panoramic render feature is new to you)
- Navigate to the folder where this Panoramic output was saved.
- Create a new folder on your desktop called "Visualize Panoramic Renders"...or something similar.
- Move the newly completed Panoramic output folder into this new "Visualize Panoramic Renders" folder on your Desktop.
- *NOTE* You will now place all Visualize Panoramic rendered content into this single folder on your Desktop. If you don't place the Panoramic output folders into this new "Visualize Panoramic Renders" on your Desktop, you won't be able to view them, since the next steps are to prepare only this new folder on your Desktop to view the Panoramic content.
- Open Chrome and go to this URL: Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings panel
- Click the "Edit Locations..." dropdown and the click "Add Location..."
- Navigate to that new folder you created on your Desktop and copy the directory of that location from Windows Explorer (see image below)
- Go back to the Chrome settings window and paste this location, so shown in the image below:
- Then click "Confirm"
- Close Chrome and then re-open the same completed Panoramic output "Open.html" in Chrome.
- BAM! You're done!
For Internet Explorer and Firefox, follow these steps below. For this example, I am using Internet Explorer.
- In the new Panoramic you just rendered, which now lives on your Desktop, right-mouse click on the HTML file that says "Open.html" and choose to open it with Internet Explorer.
- There will be a pop-up at the bottom the screen...click "Allow blocked content"...the screen will remain black until you perform the next couple steps.
- Right-mouse click anywhere on the black screen and select 'Global Settings...'
- Click the 'Advanced' tab...and click the button 'Trusted Location Settings'
- Click 'Add' at the bottom...and then click 'Add Folder'
- Click 'Desktop' as shown in this image below...and click OK...then click 'Confirm'
- You will now see your Desktop location added to the Trusted File or Folder Location list. Click Close.
- Close Internet Explorer and then re-open the same completed Panoramic output "Open.html" in Internet Explorer. You might need to right-mouse click on "Open.html" and select "Open with > Internet Explorer."
- If the pop-up appears again at the bottom of the screen, click "Allow blocked content."
- BAM! You're done! (finally)
Basically, what you just did was tell Internet Explorer to allow Panoramic renders located on your Desktop to actually show the rendered immersive experience in Internet Explorer. Rather then setting this exception for every Panormaic folder, this is why I recommended earlier to create a dedicated folder on your Desktop to store all your Visualize Panoramic rendered content.
Thank you for your support and get ready for some great surprises with these interactive features in 2018!! You will see these live at SOLIDWORKS World 2017 in Los Angeles and be able to experience the magic for yourself!!!

UPDATE: you no longer need to follow the workaround above with Visualize Pro 2018 SPO and newer
Follow these simple steps instead:
1) Find the Pano output folder (likely in your ‘Images’ folder) and double-click this file instead:
2) It will show the watermark only for the first Pano render you create. Then any render after your first Pano render won’t show the watermark.
