I just discovered that my new workstation with a Xeon W3520 had the hyperthreading turned off as delivered out of the box.  No biggie I figured, until I ran a photoworks benchmark that my company has (not one of Anna Wood's).  After I saw the results, I could only say "Holy Hyperthreading Batman!".  The rendering time went from 125 seconds to 99 seconds.  I'm a little steamed thinking about how much time I have wasted now while waiting for a rendering to finish.  The punchholder ran marginally slower, about one second.

Anyway, just a heads up to anyone with a new workstation who uses photoworks.  Check your Bios settings to see whether or not hyperthreading is on.
