Weldments question

I've come across this question in the SolidWorks Yahoo!Group. Does anyone here know a workaround? I believe they are usingSW 2007 or 2008.

Does anyone have an idea for a work around in Solidworks forthis
problem:

I have created a machine using the saved out solid bodies functionin
a weldment. The feature worked very well for making individual part
drawings for manufacturing for this machine.

Now here is my problem. I want to use the same data to create a
similar, but bigger version of the machine. No matter what I do,
(save as, pack-n-go) the saved bodies drawings do not get copied to
the new directory with the new name. Further, Pack-n-go and save as
will create the new copied parts (not the saved bodies) in the new
directory with the new name, but the references within the solid
bodies stay referenced back to the original parts. Any changes I
make to the new part number in the new directory get made back tothe
original copied from parts in the original directory becuase of the
imbedded references within the solidbodies.

solidworks has found that this is a problem and that they areworking
on, but I am dead in the water until they get it solved. Until they
get this problem solved, I need to start each new machine over from
scratch! I cannot use any save as functions because the saved body
references remain and I change the original geometry.

Please help!!!
